This Bush man is so simple-minded that he makes all Westerners and all those Westernizing wonder what is happening. Is Westernization going to fail? Won't all the people of the world become rich one day? Will they not all be free to think and say what they want? Will we not all become democratic? Will they not all be able to go on vacation when and where they want to? Since Bush and his cronies have brought "god-speak" to the heart of power, I respond to these questions with more questions using their lingo: Could it be that "god" sent Bush to test our faith in Human Rights, in progress, in rationality, in equality and in freedom? Why is "god" such a masochist, standing aside, watching how all lovers of freedom suffer this incompetent leader? But since "god"has probably nothing to do with this, only history will tell us why this happened. Only with the perspective of time will we understand how it could happen, and more importantly, what lessons were learned as we moved along the path of making the world Western.

God, Please, Save the West from this Man!
Western Fatherhood! Hurrah!
Concepts of 'the father' change with time and place. And in the tolerant and progressive Western Culture they are changing more than ever before. It is as such only here that Terrence, a kid from Holland, can sing on national television about his two fathers. For its tolerance and for its new ideas on fatherhood, the West is Best. But Holland, dear Holland, is surely among the best of the West!
Religious Haters of Religion: Only in the West!
Only in Western Culture does freedom of thought and expression exist to the degree that one can actually claim to be a religious hater of religion. And not only claim it, but have people pay for hearing you say this!
This particular 'anti-religion preacher' is called Marc Driscoll. He is part of the anti-religion movement among American christian religious fundamentalists. A contradiction one would say: a fundamentalist hater of religion. In fact they seem to be a thoroughly Western cultural product . Even religious people are secularizing and attacking organized religion. In the process, of course, these critics create new dogmas, new interpretations and new institutions that they themselves control and profit from.

Western Religous Craziness is never as funny as its Iranian Counterpart
Religious fanatics all over are lunatics. In Western Culture, these lunatics also exist. Even in the West, sad to say, they have freedom to abuse children:
But at least in the West these fanatics are telling children to kill themselves or to stop speaking English:
Neither are they allowed to gain a monopoly on loony talk about Gods:
In fact, the West is Best because if you want you can freely say in public that Christians are crazy and their God, like all Gods before, probably never existed:
The right to stop any religious monopoly, and the right to attack the religious tradition of the majority is possible only in the West. The west, after all is best. Here religions are not totally mixed up with the state. And so, even if here there is abuse, it is better than everywhere else. The religious crazies, so to speak, are not in control. There is one bad thing about this: we do not get to laugh at the crazy results as they do in Iran. Poor Iranian policewomen, we have to laugh at them and not at our western ones just because religion is left out of it all.

Western Torture seems Best, but it is the very Worst
Mr. Bush and his cronies created an atmosphere where torture flourished, if briefly. This torture was denigrating, inhuman, un-Western.
Of course, when we compare it to the torture of Mr. Hussein, that preceded it, there is no comparison. Non-Western torture is simply disgusting, revolting. Mr. Hussein and his cronies rightly deserved the death penalty for their crimes.
So who is worse, the Western Americans or the non-Western Iraqis? Well, at first glance, it is the Iraqis. Their torture is more barbarous, more primitive, more shocking. But this is only at first glance. The West is best, because it puts human rights at the center of its ideology and culture. And so, the actions of Bush's cronies were a terribly damaging setback for those that want to make a better world, more Western globe. And the world mourned at what we saw and at the terrible damage he made. Shame on Bush. May he, like Nero and Domitian before him, suffer a Damnataio Memoriae.
