Western Atheists is test of why West is Freest

Open atheism is tolerated only among societies that have incorporated one or another type of secular Western ideology, be it capitalistic or communistic. Some like China and Russia became secular via communism, others like the Americas and Europe via capitalism.

This Western led secularization does not take away the fact that in some Western societies (USA and Canada) atheism is seen more negatively than in others (Japan and Europe). But even in the United States atheists are not killed, jailed or legally discriminated against. In particular state sponsored discrimination (or worst) of atheists occurs only in non-Westernized societies. The west has made open and total atheism possible as it has allowed total freedom of thought on religious and supernatural powers. As such, western culture is the best.

Westen atheism is most heatedly defended at the moment by Richard Dawkins, an Oxforn University professor. His defence of atheist non-religionist ideology is itself a plea for Western ideology.

Apple and the Freedom of the West

1984 was a book about the horrors of the new age, as foreseen by Gerorge Orwell in 1948 in his book 1984. But in the real 1984, instead of gloom we saw Apple launch the Macintosh personal computer and revolutionize the market of personal computers, our lives and our globe. The PC was a Western invention that will eventually westernize all peoples and bring them closer to one democratic whole.

Western Traffic Jams: The Best

Even for a traffic jam, the West is Best. The West created traffic Jams. We invented the car, the car-horn, the pavement of roads, stop lights, and all other elements of a traffic jam. Once invented, we exported them to the world where they became much worse once.Freed from the cultured discipline of the West, traffic jams became hell. Be they in Cairo:

or in Lima: These traffic jams outside the West are horribly noisy with horrible drivers and horrible disorder. Western traffic jams may are Western: rational, quiet and orderly. They are civilized. Long live the West and its orderly traffic jams! Of course, the West does have its exceptions, be it Naples:

of New York. But these two cities remain noisy exceptions to the quiet Western traffic jam, the best of all traffic jams.

Western Hambruger

The Hamburger of the West. A product of Hamburg-America-Scotland. McDonalds. Recognizable everywhere, even in Japan.

And so advertisement makes the West and its ideology. But then again, advertisement makes all ideologies past and present, Western or not. It is just that our Western advertisement, in today's world is the most effective so to speak, as it is the most global and the most globalizing.

This right is a central pillar of our Western ideology. It is at the heart of why the West is Best.

Even in the West religion can lead to strange things

This video is a strange result of a person reacting to the religion culture has given her. This religion gives meaning to her life, even if it is just a human creation that in a few thousand will be forgotten or lookd at strangely. Like all religions before it, her's will also be forgotten and repalaced some other social ideological construct.

Western Clothing: the pants of the West

The modern West is democratic, egalitarian, labor inetnsive, crowded and fast paced. And so, it has developed clothing that fit this ideology and social system. It developed Jeans. The first jeans where Levi's. These pants became the symbol of racial, class and sexual equality.

Levi's came from California, the symbolic frontier of the West.

Jeans are the clothing of the future, of the democratic world of equals.The clothing for a world of equals formed by brands and marketing. Good morning world.

Like all pants, the jeans originally came from the Gauls. Their use slowly penetrated Rome and Greece, eventually replacing most togas and skirts as common attire of both men and women. Pants are safe and practical and won battle of time to become the clothing of the West. And from the West, of the Globe.

China Kills: Let it become Western

China is not the West, and so is not the best. China is a dictatorship, and its one party system will blow up one day in popular anger. We all know that. When China adopts Western ideology, and establishes a free press, free elections and free movement of peoples it will no longer be a threat. Until then, we can only remember its victims.

In 1989 it killed its own students killed by the thouands on the Square of the Gate of Heavenly Peace, Tiananmen Square.

But it also killed its intellectuals in the 1960's under the banner of the Cultural Revolution, it kills the Tibetans, and to this day it executes people for almost everything, winning the olympic gold medal for executions!

American Atomic West

Since 1945 the United States of America have led the West as its superpower. They won this position with the atomic bombs over Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Today, sixty years later this leadership is looking strained and blood-stained, if very much in place.

Make a Western Union

It is time to get rid of boundaries and passports and have one common work area: USA, EU, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Hong Kong. A Western Union.

With time more and more countries would enter the Western Union. Recently Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania and Bulgaria have entered the 'club of civilized nations'. Taiwan and Korea are close behind, some Asian countries and Chile also seem on the right track. All these countries could join the Japan, EU and America in the Western Union.

China needs to get rid of its one party system to enter. The Arabic countries need to democratize and secularize more thoroughly. Latin America should educate and empower of the masses through liberalization and integration to the world economy.

The Western Union would of course need to start in the real capital of the World, New York.

The West Prays to a New Song

In our New Millennium, the West openly prays with a new Song. A song without God or Tribe or Poor. This new prayer exists because the West is Best, but it is not perfect. Much strife and suffering and need still exist around the globe. As such, we pray for change and forgiveness for the stupid actions of the system's generally mediocre political and religious leaders. Even so, all non-Western leaders and societies need to pray even harder than the West.

The new prayer of the West is a prayer for one World. A prayer of ideas and marketing. A prayer only the West can produce:

Martyrs, Pariahs and the slow spread of the West

The West is best, and its ideology of pluralism is spreading fast. Opposition to this 'Globalization' (i.e. Westernization) comes from two main arguments:

a) it all goes too slow, too much injustice remains and a few countries still control everything
b) it all goes too fast, and no culture seems immune from merging into a Western society where all demand a free vote, a house, a car, an education, a job, a television set, a passport, and the right to go on a paid vacation wherever they want.

The protests come from two main areas: the extreme right and the extreme left. The left-opposition, loosely known as the Other-Globalists or Anarchists, tend to be black-clad young men from rich countries. They call themselves anti-Western anti-capitalists. To me they just seem unhappy that not all societies are as full of plenty as those of the West.

Once in a long while one of these idealist-anarchists dies in confrontations with police. One can say these fallen men are martyrs for a "democratic-pluralistic-rich-world-for-all-now". Carlo Giuliani was the last such martyr, killed by the police in Genoa during G-8 riots in 2001. May Carlo rest in peace, and may his parents be able to see a purpose in his death. May the Italian government and the police force that allowed this death be tried.

The right-opposition, loosely called Nationalists or Fascists, are also generally dressed in black. They oppose all aspects of globalization and not just its slowness and inequality. They do not want the West to keep integrating others into its system. They scream for separation, for the past, for a time when we all were not becoming one.

The extremists of both right and left wear black and go around in mobs. Little do they know, but this is how extremists have always dressed and behaved, at least in Europe. The Pagan philosopher Libanius around 360AD describes the Christian anti-Pagan radicals as such:

"But those black-garbed people. . . . run to the temples, bringing with them wood, and stones, and iron, and when they have not these, hands and feet. Then . . . the roofs are uncovered, walls are pulled down, images are carried off, and altars are overturned. . . . When they have destroyed one temple they run to another, and a third, and trophies are erected upon trophies . . . . After innumerable mischiefs have been perpetrated, the scattered multitude unites and comes together . . . ."

Not unlike what happens in a typical G8 meeting, I would say . . . .

Extremists on the right risk dying for nothing, since global integration will continue. Dead Fascists are a waste, pariahs to the West and its ideals of equality. Extremists on the left, also risk dying for nothing. Their anti-democratic tactics have no future at the center of politics. But at least Anarchists are martyrs for the Western Dream: they want all humans to be equal and ruled like the Nordic peoples are today. This impatient anrchist minority is most welcome. It forces Western Ideology to spread deeper, better and faster across the globe in ever more humane ways. Of course, this is of little consolation for the mother of Carlo. She probably just wants her son alive. What mother can hug a symbol, or worse, a casualty of tactics on how best to influence the Westernization of the globe?

The West Rocks even to Aisha

The West rocks to its own music, and then it sells it to the world. Groups like the Mamas and the Papas in the late 1960's set a new global style of pop music:

Today the "western Pop Rock" style has penetrated many parts of the world. As such the world can now send its westernized tunes back to the West, and from here to the Globe. Today we can can rock to the music of the Westernized Arabs in French and Arab:

And so the west and the world rock to the song of Aisha, the girl wife of the prophet Mohammad. She is mentioned in the muslim "holy book" of the Hadith:

Today's global model for art is Western. Even a culture as ancient as the Chinese is Westernizing. Its contemporary art looks more at home in Hong Kong than in the Communist mainland:

Western art makes a universal langage of expression. It hates sameness, localness and censorship. In its love of universal meaning, diveristy and freedom it absorbs past artistic models from all cultures, merges them, rebuilds them, Westernizes them. It make one global art language. A Western global art.

The West Kills its Gods in many ways

The West is Best, among other things because here we have freedom of speech and can make fun of the gods men make up. In the west we can for reinvent cultural symbols and products to kill a god while laughing at him:

While in the West out-of date 'blasphemy laws' still protect the official gods, these laws are as a rule not applied. When someone makes fun of the so called gods or their so called priests or prophets as the Danish press did,

we see no mass riots, as happened in Asia when indoctrinated masses of poor and misgoverned people protested against these cartoons.

And so the moral of this story is: the West is best because we can mock gods under the full protection of the law and the approval by most of society. Free speech to mock and kill gods in print and art is at the heart of Western liberty. And we use it against the religions with more frequency and ever broader variety of ways.

The West has imagined a world with no religions or nations or nothing to kill for

Imagine. A peace song by John Lennon. It is a cry of idealism, for a world with no heaven, no hell, no countries, nothing to kill or die for, no religion.

This anthem against the ideas of gods, ideologies and nations is seen as the words of a dreamer. But its ideas have been adopted by the West, even by the supposedly religious Americans.

Imagine was used by New York when bidding for the 2012 Olympics:

It was sung by President Clinton to the entire government of the Jewish State of Israel:

This song is popular all over the world. The West is Best, because it imagined a world with no ideological divisions of race, religion and nation and put this image into a global anthem of peace.

The West fights totalitarianism

At the moment the West is fighting Islamic Fundamentalism and Sharia Law. This ideology is inhuman, primitive and deserves total condemnation. Not only does it violate human rights and decency, it gives too much power to books written more than 1000 years ago by sexist and intolerant priests. One of the main ideologues in this war of the against Islamic Theocracy is Mr. Daniel Pipes.

Mr Daniel Pipes is the son of Richard Pipes, Harvard Professor of Russian History. Richard Pipes was one of America's foremost anti-Leninists and anti-communists. He fought communist totalitarian ideology, be it the variety found among east Germans:

In the past the West fought other totalitarian ideologies: salvery, nationalism, fascism, militarism, colonialism. Most of these enemy ideologies were also creations of the West. However, in the end the West is Best not so much because it thinks up almost everything that is used by other nations, but mainly when push comes to shove it defends pluralism and destroys non-democratic rival ideologies.
